New technology developer Your Heaven has released its new CloseUp mic system at the 2017 NAMM Show in Anaheim, California. Seeking to solve mic’ing issues with acoustic instruments, the CloseUp system is tailored for acoustic guitar, violin, cello, upright bass, drums, and other non-electric instruments in a live setting.

The company says that unlike traditional pickup systems, the CloseUp is sonically transparent, allowing the true sound of the instrument to be reproduced. A high level of feedback rejection suits the microphone for use in noisy, live settings as well as the studio.Along with live use, the system is also compatible with a USB interface, giving users the ability to record into any digital audio workstation.
